Simon Knapp BVetMed BSc MRCVS - Clinical Director
Simon Knapp is our Clinical Director with overall responsibility for the running of all practice matters. He is married with three children and qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 1980, gaining a prize in equine surgery.
Simon has a long-term interest in horses dating back to his childhood when his father, both raced and played polo.
His interests have included hunting with the Cheshire, Wynstay and South Shropshire hunts. He also holds many prestigious veterinary appointments:
Member of Veterinary Committee as Racecourse Association Veterinary Advisor
Member of the Hurlingham Polo Association (HPA) Veterinary Committee
Veterinary Advisor to Guards Polo Club
Senior Veterinary Surgeon to Epsom Downs, Kempton Park and Sandown Park Racecourses
Royal Ascot Veterinary Team member
Simon's special clinical interests include equine surgery and lameness evaluation
Simon recently obtained his L.V.O for services to the Royal Mews Horses.
