Laboratory services
We have access to excellent laboratory facilities which provide us with 'same day' results for all routine blood analysis tests and the detailed examination of swabs, samples and smears.
Blood Analysis - a wide range of tests are performed that include kidney function, liver function, blood proteins and the red and white blood cell parameters, all designed to assess health and fitness.
These results are available within 24 hours so that we can readily check for disease before surgical procedures, find vital information for the rapid diagnosis of problems and also monitor the state of ongoing conditions.
We find that blood profiles are particularly helpful in older horses as they can identify early stages of treatable diseases which may not otherwise be discovered.
